Lay The Draw Mastery Course Review - A Newbies Honest Experience
Graham is a UFT member who joined Lay The Draw Mastery during the "Early Access" period. He was not compensated in anyway for providing this detailed Lay The Draw Mastery review.
I have only been trading a year now but when I first started trading football matches, I had no idea what I was doing.
Lay the Draw (LTD) trading sounded simple enough—bet against the draw and profit when a goal is scored. But as I quickly learned, it’s not as easy as it seems.
My early trades were inconsistent and full of mistakes, and I didn’t know how to fix them.
I knocked LTD on the head for a while and concentrated on other strategies.
Anyway, when I got an email from Ben about "Lay The Draw Mastery" it felt like the right time to learn all of this in full.
I joined the VIP Early Access membership, and from the moment I started the course, I knew I was in the right place.
This isn’t just another football trading course; it’s a roadmap for beginners like me who want to trade with confidence and consistency.
In this review, I’ll go over what helped me the most and why this course stands out from the rest.
First Impressions: Practical and Beginner-Friendly
One thing I noticed right away was how well-structured the course is. Richard is an amazing narrator and sounds like he should really be a university professor or a BBC presenter. This makes to help things very easy to understand.
He starts with the basics and gradually builds up to more advanced strategies and concepts. The tone is encouraging, and the lessons are easy to follow. As someone who’s only been trading for a year, I never felt overwhelmed or lost. I have learned a lot from doing other course but there is always room for more learning.
The course provides a mix of theory and actionable steps that made me feel prepared to trade smarter, not harder.
While the course is packed with value, these things were the stand out for me.
1. The Mindset Mastery Module
The opening module sets the tone for the entire course. It’s not just about diving into strategies but understanding why you’re trading and how to approach it professionally. This module helped me shift my mindset from “let’s see if this works” to treating trading as a disciplined process.
The framework emphasizes consistency, patience, and small, steady wins over time. For someone like me, who was often tempted to chase big profits, this lesson was invaluable. It taught me to focus on long-term growth rather than short-term results.
I used to ignore this part of courses but now I have learned they are invaluable. I only started improving as a trader once I took this part seriously so if you are someone who is struggling this might be the reason why.
2. The Middle Method
I went Platinum and that got me all the strategies. My favourite so far has been "The Middle Method" which is one of the course’s standout strategies, and for good reason. This [REDACTED - SENSITIVE INFO] is perfect for beginners because it minimizes risk while maximizing opportunities. By focusing on matches with clear pre-match indicators and [REDACTED - SENSITIVE INFO], I’ve been able to trade with much less stress.
I have found myself using this frequently so far and limiting my time spent trading which is great for flexibility. Sometimes I am out in 20-30 minutes.
3. The Fade System
But when I am having a full on trading sesssion the Fade System has been the one for me. Fade System takes things to the next level by teaching you how to manage trades as the market moves in your favor. This risk-reduction technique was a game-changer for me. Before this course, I often panicked when trades went well, exiting too early or staying in too long and risking a reversal.
With the Fade System, I now have a clear plan. I am still quite risk averse as a trader so this works perfectly for me and I will stick with it for as long as I feel comfortable.
Not sure if I am allowed to say this but I have been combining Fade with The Middle Method which also eases the pressure somewhat.
Early days but I am seeing great results and most days are profitable.
4. Pre-Match Analysis Techniques
Should have mentioned this earlier but if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that preparation is everything.
The pre-match analysis module gave me a step-by-step guide for evaluating matches before placing trades. It taught me how to use data like Expected Goals (xG), team form, and head-to-head stats to identify high-probability opportunities.
This approach has significantly improved my trade selection. Instead of randomly picking matches, I now have a checklist to ensure the conditions are right for LTD trading. This has helped me avoid poor trades and focus on matches with the best potential for success.
I used to only do LTD at half-time but learning the pre-match analysis technique has give me the confidence to go right in at kick off and find the best opportunities. Like Richard says in one of the modules, if you go in at kick off you have the WHOLE match ahead of you to make your profit so time is on your side.
Why Lay The Draw Mastery Stands Out
What makes Lay The Draw Mastery special is its balance between beginner-friendly lessons and advanced insights. It doesn’t just teach you what to do—it teaches you how to think like a trader. The strategies are practical, actionable, and backed by solid reasoning.
The course also acknowledges the emotional side of trading, which is often overlooked. By focusing on discipline, patience, and risk management, it equips you with the mindset needed to succeed over the long term.
What could be better?
While I loved the course, there are a couple of things that could make it even better:
1. Interactive Exercises: Adding quizzes or practice scenarios would help reinforce the lessons and give traders a chance to test their knowledge in a safe environment. Also, I can't seem to track my progress in the course? So sometimes I watch the same videos twice by accident.
2. Scalping Strategies: It could be my misunderstanding but I thought we might learn how to take insurance against the draw by scalping. There is insurance strategies included but nothing about scalping which I am very interested to learn.
